Jehovah's Witnesses have the true religion. They are Christian (of course), but they are unique for their rejection of paganisms, use of God's personal name, and global preaching by every active adherent. No other religious organization can claim such purity of worship.
These facts about Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps relevant to this question. The more one compares this Christian religion with others, the more remarkable it is shown to be.
1. Jehovah's Witnesses have no paid clergy. Yet they remain tightly organized with more than 6.5 million active Jehovah's Witness preachers (about 16 million associate themselves with the religion). Even fulltime preachers and workers at their branch offices are unpaid volunteers.
2. There is no elite class among Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the few 'anointed' among them enjoy no special privileges in their congregations on earth. An anointed person (one of those relative few with a heavenly hope) is not elevated above his fellow congregants in any way, and he may not even qualify for appointment as a simple 'deacon' or elder. There are no titles; EVERYONE is addressed as 'brother' or 'sister'.
3. No person benefits economically from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the 8 to 20 men who serve on their Governing Body receive simply room, board, medical care, and reimbursement for certain personal expenses according to the exact same provision as every other branch volunteer.
4. About a hundred men have served on Jehovah's Witnesses' Governing Body committee during the past 125 years or so. The vast majority of them have spent the vast majority of their adult lives volunteering for their organization's purposes, and the vast majority have died faithfully and near-pennilessly while still under their legal 'vow of poverty'.
5. Amazingly, Jehovah's Witnesses did not splinter as a sect from some other religion. Instead, a truly tiny but sincere group of bible students studied only the Scriptures to determine the will of God. Thus their religion remains absolutely independent of and not carrying the sins of Christendom's history, yet carries the authority of Christ's teachings.
6. Despite the distortions of anti-Witnesses, throughout their modern history Jehovah's Witnesses have refused to claim divine inspiration or infallibility for their teachings. They have pointed to the bible (and not any particular translation) as the only inspired infallible means of knowing God's thoughts. For over 125 years, their teachings have been presented as merely the results of sincere bible research by imperfect but godly humans.

It just all depends on if you want to be part of some religion that could be false or if you want to follow the True Gospel of Jesus Christ. Most religions always have these "extras" that go on in the church that they expect each member to do that is not what is in the Bible, for example, the Pentecostals and their talking in tongues, and the catholics and their idol worship, and I could go on and on. I have found that the only religion that really does teach the word of God are the Baptists, even though I do not belong to a Baptist Church. I pray and fellowship with the ex-Hutterites (ones that left the colony) and the Mennonites. Anyway, one thing to consider when choosing a church to join. Go in and taste the fruit with no commitments. Listen to the pastor and make sure it is the word of God he is teaching. Make sure he has scripture to back his words. Also, be careful of churches that have more potluck, camping trips and picnics than they actually study God's word. Pray and ask God to lead you to the right church. Here is a website that will help you. When you get to the page look for the part about choosing a church. Also when you are on that website you could click on "false religion" and it will tell you about some of them.

You should seriously consider Jehovah's Witnesses, because they are the only "true Bible Followers". However they are known as "Non-Christians", by other Christians.
Or....go with Catholicism for they are the "truest Christians", although again there are many other Christian denominations that will say that they are not Christians because they worship idols. I think that Mary is the idol they worship.
I've read a lot of literature as well, and confusion is what we get for our knowledge. Oddly enough, the Christians, who choose "faith" over "logic", do have a very good point. If they simply follow their church and don't bother to think for themselves...it is a lot easier to believe in their concept.

don't be discouraged. It enables if one tries to stay the concepts he has found out, yet i think you're already a competent individual. yet do no longer have confidence any church to do it worried with you. a competent church is an incredible help; a church acknowledged by technique of Jesus is important. yet maximum church homes (and Judaism and Islam are additionally helpful, while lived with charity and all one's coronary heart) can help you avert significant blunders which will intervene inclusive of your religious progression and could genuinely injury you spiritually or bodily. shop examining; shop praying; humble your self, and commit your self to being the place God needs you to be. If he needs you to persist for a jointly as on your seek, he's giving you of challenge to return to a selection how lots you want it.

You can study atheist point of view if you want to, but GOD has a plan in your life and will never let go of you. He has given you the desire for the search for the truth. Do not muddle your mind with doctrine of men but concentrate on knowing God yourself. That is why the Holy Spirit has not spoke to you Himself, you are getting spoon fed by these people who are of a cult. Read the bible for yourself and quit reading that crap written by men. I hope that doesn't sound too harsh but I know what those people like Mormon/Unitarian/ Jehovah witness told me and it is hogwash but thanks be to God he has revealed himself to me.

Becoming a Christian is one of a "calling" or being "drawn" into a relationship with God, the Father. It is God the Father that does the drawing - not people, (see: John chapter 6, verse 44) That is why, you are in the state of mind as an Atheist currently ! (Atheism is not a study [discipline] but a state of mind !)

I'm going to assume you're serious.
First off - don't worry about denominations. If you believe in Christ - if you recognize your need for a savior and you believe that Christ is the one - then you're Christian. Those verses I keep quoting - "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" - are really all you need. No denomination can do that for you. It has to be your choice, alone before God.
Once you've done that, you'll want to find a church to plug into. Pick one that practices what you believe and teaches you what you need. You're the only one who can decide that. The most anyone here can do is tell you what works for them, which is just shy of absolutely worthless for you. Pray, attend some services, then pick the one that seems the best fit. Remember - it's Christ you're following, not a denomination. If you stay with a church for a year or so and find it isn't really the right one for you, then go somewhere else. Trust me - God will still be able to find you.
And I would recommend studying atheism for awhile, too, whatever you do. There's no such thing as too much information, unless the search for it keeps you from making a decision.

So John... don't get tired.... I'm a born again believer and I could tell you to choose my way too but the Bible declares that "No man cometh to the father unless the Spirit draws him."
The Bible also says in Joh 14:7..Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life. No man cometh to the father but by me."
I advise you to seek a relationship with Christ...
Its good to know what the books say and I encourage you to continue to read your Bible but also pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal himself to you.
Man I can quote you so many scriptures to back up what I'm saying but I just urge you to continue to abide in Him.
Think of this experience as another test of your faith.
See the Bble says we gotta be sober and vigilant because our adversary the devil is walking about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour...
See he knows you know the word but now he's planting seeds of doubt ... telling you to consider aethism... he's trying to steal the word that God has placed in your heart but you can't let him win because God wants you to live victoriously.
Please send me an email with your name ... just your name and I'll slip it into our church prayer box so the intercessory group can lift you up in prayer.
ily!

Although there are countless religions out there, it is important to keep in mind what is known as counterfeit Christianity. Any organization which calls themselves Christian but doesn't worship Jesus is not Christian, therefore they are to be considered counterfeit Christians. Any organization which tells you that you will never understand the Bible without guidance from the leaders is considered counterfeit Christianity. And any organization which claims "We have the truth" or cleverly equates the term "truth" in reference to their own organization should also be considered as counterfeit Christianity. Through determining what is not true Christianity will help you to make the right decision.
