I have seen a price of £129 - cheap as chips or good value for money? You decide

I've seen a couple of favourable reviews, but they didn't say much more than "it works". In general, Samsungs don't have particularly good lenses, but quality v cost is always going to be an issue. There's a good review of 2 slightly more expensive cameras at the link - if nothing else, it might help you work out what matters to you.

If you're planning on doing much editing, stick with MiniDV - DVD and HD are a pain!
