I think so...

Notice that the Qur'an cares more about the core of the situation then it does about spicifics.

For example, people argue about how many young men where in the cave (the ones who slept for over 300 years), but in Islam, the count isn't as important as the lesson behind the story.

I hope that helps.

Peace.

Yes, Noah is mentioned in Quran in a no. of places. And Quran does contain the story of his struggle to convince people to worship one God and when that did not happen how did God's decisive incident happened.

Bible and Quran are both words of God. However, there is a difference. Bible has not been preserved in its original form (firstly the language it was revealed in is no longer living language). Therefore, a lot of discrepencies natural to human intervention and error have crept in. Quran, on the other hand, has been preserved just as it was revealed. It is known by heart by many individuals and Quran's language is still a living language. So when in doubt about anything in Bible, one always consults Quran and if Quran contradicts it, then Quran supercedes as it is the latest scripture.
I hope that clarifies.

Yes chapter 71 in the Quran is call Noah (or Nuh in Arabic). There are however differences in the story for example the Biblical version claims that the whole world was flooded but the Quranic version only says that it was Noah people that were drowned.

Also with Jesus (pbuh) in Islam we believe he spoke to defend his mother as a baby, after people accused her for being unchaste. However it says this nowhere in the Bible. Now do you really think no one at that time said that it was impossible for a virgin birth? Or did everyone accept as the Bible implies without not mentioning it.

There are many stories in the Bible that are not in the Quran. But instead of asking us, you should find out for yourself. Read both, and then answer that for yourself.

may be,but there is no proof they are correct stories, what is good in having a lot of stories all made up,the bible is 66 books but most of it is made up,however the Quran is just one book but 100% correct,i think all the important stories is in the Quran, but not all of them in details,God only gave us what we will benefit from.

honestly, i am not sure of stories not in the quran, but NOOH A.S. story i think is in the quran. It was revealed to Nooh a.s. that a flood was coming and he was told to build an ark in which he must put male and female of every type of animal, and i think no one believed him yet he believed in his creator and built his ark -the flood came and Nooh a.s. and the animals survived- I stand to be corrected on details.. i am not sure

i liked the answer that the Quran (or whatever the spelling) is 100% correct - that would be a first in history. Surely their is one little white lie or misrepresentation
