any sort of depression can be tide over by faith in GOD and sincere prayer.
Your prayer is from your heart. Further You must have to understood the fact that God is present in our heart. This can be realised in meditation. Further we are the creation of our own destiny. As per Hindu sacred religion, we carry all good and bad deeds life after life. There is no end unless we pray for unification of self with the divineliness.
Hence there is always a possible way to complete mergence with God in this life by a simple and wonderful meditation

When I clear my mind what I do is, light a candle and turn off the light. You can use soft music in the background (I like the Japanese flute) but silence is good too. Sit on the floor with the candle in front of you and take 3 slow, deep breaths (in for 4 heart beats, hold for 2, out for 4.) Stare at the flame and feel your whole body in your mind. Then start to relax each muscle starting with your face. Forehead, mouth, and jaw, then move your way down your neck and shoulders, arms, hands. Continue down the spine, legs and feet - all the way to your toes. When you're completely relaxed concentrate on the flame. Try to feel your own heart beat throughout your body, make it stronger in your finger tips, or throat, if you can. When you start to have a thought other than your pulse, imagine it's burned away in the candle flame. When you feel like you've sufficiently cleared your mind, take three more deep breaths (to prepare your body and mind for action again) blow out the candle and continue your life with renewed energy and a sense of peace. Hope this helps! I know I love it.

You're just talking about simple meditation. Any object will do, a candle, a crystal, I guess even a pencil. The important thing is to set aside time for this in a place that is quiet and relatively free of distractions. Also important, if thoughts do enter your mind, let them, if you try and force them out, they will remain. In the beginning picture your mind as am empty room, with a window on one side, and another window on the opposite wall. As thoughts enter your mind (your empty room) simply acknowledge them, and let them pass in through one window and out the other. They'll move out the room, leaving it clear.

Yes you can. But for that u need to do some practice. Take a pencil, sharpen it and hold it in your hand with tip facing up. Hold it at a distance of your hand and try to see the top tip part . watch it for 2 min .. repeat thsi for 5 min and u will be clear of your mind

Yes it is possible but to do that you need little practice. the Human brain is very complex but remember 1 thing it respond to us as we train it. You have to train your brain to achieve a specific result. In YOGA there are such exercises to clear mind from thoughts. Reikie is another way to do that.

most guys can do this.
Get married - have your wife talk non stop to you about something you really do not care about one way or the other and your mind goes blank while she is talking.
This does not mean she is annoying - just talking about something you care less about and do not want to offend her by stopping her from talking. it is a married thing
