i have basically lost it, i have gone mad with rage, and crazy.
Its been 8 days, i have tried to teach him clicker training for 8 DAYS!! he understands the click, and that he will gain a treat when he hears it, but each time i throw the ball, 4 metres away, he would run to it, and then drop it half way, or he would run to it, and then just run away with the ball, and play keepers off for 17 minutes. Or at times he would just run to the ball and then smell it and run back, or he would run pass the ball and then run back, or he would pick it up and then drop it on the spot, or when i have treats ready in my pocket and i throw it, he would just run to my pocket and attempt to eat the treats, and at times when i wave it in front of him, and i throw it, he would just run abit, then stop and look at me. What do i do with this stupid dog? I have also tried other methods such as having two identical plush toys, but he doesn't get it.

I understand your frustration.
In the beginning, it may help if you put him on a long leash so you can keep control of his movements.
Also choose something other than a ball inititally - something that doesn't roll around, and something you can dip in bacon grease or other tasty substance that makes the dog want to hold onto it.
You can try having him go after a bone instead of a ball until he learns the concept.
So put the dog on a long leash (I mean at least as long as the distance you're throwing the bone), Don't go for too much distance at first. You want CONTROL of the dog's movements so you can give him assists when he needs them.
Then throw the bone. He'll go after the bone and will probably not just drop it. Then, as soon as he picks up the bone, praise him. That's ONE small step, and to build his confidence, you have to reward EACH small step. They all add together eventually.
If he doesn't come right back with that bone, give a tug on the leash and call him IN A FRIENDLY VOICE. Give small tugs on the leash until he 'gets it'.
When he DOES come back to you with the bone, praise him profusely. He has to know FOR SURE that he did something right.
Then gently take the bone away from him and praise him AGAIN when he releases it to you.
The verbal commands associated with this are:
1. Watch (before throwing the object)
2. Get (after throwing the object)
3. Bring (when he has it picked up)
4. Give (to have him release it to you.
If you follow this old-fashioned but proven way, your dog will learn.
Remember: dog and computer errors are more likely 'operator errors' :) No offense, but dogs can't be expected to know what you want them to do unless you teach it in tiny bits as described above.
Good luck to you and your best friend.

Does he have a good recall?
If your dog comes when you call him, then make sure to call him back to you while he is training. If he brings you a toy when you are NOT playing fetch, immediately reward him. Give him a treat and lavish attention. Even if you walk by and he has a toy, get excited when you take it out of his mouth, and throw it. You have to show the dog that you are excited about the TOY, and then he should begin to understand that the toy is what you want.

Also, importantly keep in mind that if you get worked up when he does NOT do what you want, the dog doesn't know any better. Any raising of attention.. whether it's positive or negative, makes for one confused puppy. They don't understand what we're saying, only what we're feeling and how we are acting. If you get upset, the pup just freaks out and doesn't know what to do.

Your dog surely isn't dumb and it just pretend to be dumb to get your attention; just like human too! To be honest with you, I really want to pay you respect for your passion to raise the dog so it could be your best friend that always by your side, which always agreed what you said and so on! Just take good care of your dog and be nice!

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/fPf5r

If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.

It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

Has it ever occured to you that your the dumb one?? Your dog isn't dumb it's just playing you for a fool. It is quite amusing watching someone rant and rave at something that just simply does not want to do what you want it to!! All your doing is turning it into a game for it. Its called watch my owner make an idiot out of himself
