I mean, are they the same type of person?

ummm, well hopefully one wouldn't sleep with another person unless they cared deeply for them and someone you are about it the "type" you should marry. No set "type" is good for a person. There is a reason why we're called individuals.

The person I married and the person I sleep with are one and the same,,,,so I guess I would have to say they are the same type since they are the same person,,,

That totally depends on what type of person you're attracted to in the first place!
Or rather, that depends on if the person you sleep with is the "marrying kind".
I ended up marrying someone that I was "just sleeping with" for a while, before we realized how truly compatible we were.

Rarely. The "perfect woman" is a lady in the streets and a freak in the sheets. Problem is that rarely happens. Usually you have lower standards for bed partners (like looks, low morals, a pulse...) and don't really expect more than a good ride. A mate is a whole different set of criteria (brains, genes, fedility, stability, and such). I guess the girl you sleep with needs to only be available; while the girl you marry needs to be practical.

I wouldn't marry anybody that I wouldn't also sleep with!!

However, that doesn't apply the other way around. ;) For example, my requirements for intelligence in a wife were VERY high. In a sex partner or even girlfriend -- maybe not so high ...

Yes. If you are the faithful type. No if you are the two-timer type. Hope that helps.

I might be stereotyping but yes. When you marry someone you 'sleep' with them.
