So, I'm pretty scared here...I guess I've been living under the rock for the past few years, but I just found out about this whole "nonstick cookware causes cancer" deal and I've been using pans w/scratches for months now! How much exposure do you have to have for it to affect you?? Please please please help me!!!

I just got a really great nonstick pan, and it came with a ton of information on the safety of Teflon. It is poisonous and cancerous, but only if you get it well above the stovetop or oven cooking temperatures, so there's nothing to worry about.

It's said that every person on the planet has some amount of teflon in their system. I doubt it's good for anyone, though, I don't think you're gonna die. just make sure you don't use metal in your non-stick cookware.
