*you can "save it" for your one and only
*you can prevent unwanted pregnancies
*you feel more pure
*you don't have to worry about losing anyone's trust
*you respect yourself more
*it's more special and with deeper meaning if you save it until after marriage

this is just my opinion though. alot of people nowadays don't agree anyways.

it used to matter. However, in the era we are in it is just not an option to stay a virgin, trust me. I am still a virgin because i thought it was something special but i am beginning to rethink it very critically. In a relationship if you have not had sex, and everyone is expecting it, you are just an odd duck. Pardon the expression, its quirky. At any rate the lack of experience can actually ruin things for you. I have turned down many opportunities to lose my v-card but now i kinda regret not giving it up. NOBODY respects that anymore! Anyway, STD's was a major factor but now we can assure some significant saftey risks but like i said; if you dont have th eexperience is apparently more desirable than virginity!!!!!

It matters to me because it is a special gift I will give the man God has set aside for me. As for the guy that says NOBODY respects it anymore, you need to get a new pack of friends. I know a ton of people that still respect it. I have alot of guy friends that find it admirable in a woman to still be a virgin. I am still a virgin because God called me to keep the gift til my wedding night. It saddens me to think that sex is just a game to alot of kids. Alot of couples I know that didn't wait until they were married are now divorced. All but one of my classmates who didn't wait are divorced that didn't wait. One a year after she got married. I want to wait and give that gift to the one I truly love. Also I don't want to get pregnant and have a child I can't take care of.

everything xangel said. Ultimately though, this should be a decision, not something that just happens. Your first time should be special. it should be the beginning of a life's journey with the person you give it to, not some temporary arrangement. it should be a beautiful spiritual experience in addition to a physical one.
