You've hit on something about these ponderings of yours. Personally, I think God didn't create the human brain for nothing. I believe in glorifying God through wisdom, intelligence and smartness. He is, after all, all these things. I don't think He would be that selfish as to give us minds, and then forbid us to use it to the utmost potential.
That said, I believe that wisdom, intelligence and logic are all needed for faith to work. There are a lot of things/situations in this earth that we take for granted that we don't even stop to realize what is wrong. Once you think outside this frame, it becomes clear why and how God works His way. In this kind of mind-frame, faith works best.
One other ingredient for faith to work: humility.

job: A Christian, who is spiritually growing, will have questions about his or her own faith at times. I have done so, and the anxiety created, caused me to research deeply into the things I believe in. Also, I learned to become more open-minded. I, now, can most assuredly claim that my belief system is founded on solid ground. I have scientific EVIDENCE of a Creator and a deeper understanding of the Biblical scriptures. I can say that I am more grounded - better now, than I was a year ago. I found that no one alive - ever, has all the answers for all the questions ... but an answer exists for the questions we need to ask. God does not give a detailed explanation for every facet on every aspect of life but only those I need for my continued relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.

Your sort of right both ways, we should always be improving our relashonship with God and evaluating the current events, but TRUST is key, and mentioned several times in the bible.
If hardships cause you to question you faith, remember that all thing work for the greater good in Gods eyes not mans, example: You may be put in a situation that seems bad to you, but what happens when you overcome it? Are you not stronger? And can you not relate and help others who are in that situation, not only with wisdom but simpathy?
We are tools for Gods will on earth and his Glory, remember this, ALL good tools MUST be refined in fire to be usefull.
How can you relate, be simpitehetic, inderstanding or even grow spiritually without trials?
Whenin doubt, seek the lord, read the book left for you, just pray about a trouble and open it anywere you would be amazed how effective that has been for me, no bookmarks just interaction.

Be careful. You are showing signs of developing an open mind and that will earn you the atheist label in very short order.
It is always right to doubt belief without knowledge. If this didn't happen we would all still be living in 12th century societies without hope of change. Believing the status quo as being the only choice is the easiest way to make sure that it is the only choice.

Do I have doubts? Every day.
Do I question my faith (the Greek word means faith/believing)? Again every day.
Moses may had questions for God, but Moses never documented them.
Doubt is not sin, so I never confront this.
Do I scrutinize faith? No. Faith is by the grace of God. It is not something that can be analyzed. You either have it or you don't.

Yes , I do have doubts at times and personally, I think its healthy.. It gives me the oppurtunity to explore my questions and to seek the knowledge to answer the questions..
Jesus said, "SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND,KNOCK AND THE DOOR SHALL BE OPENED" I believe that GOD does want us to have questions because essentially what it does, is strengthen our faith..
Your right .. If you pretend all is well, that to me is a sin in itself..
When I doubt, I research and pray for GOD to guide me in the right direction.. Doubt to me , is satan's way of confusing us. I accept that about satan because well thats what he wants. BUT, I do not allow myself to stay in doubt..I do something about it..
If we do not question things , we do not grow..If we do not grow as Christians , then what do we have .. Nothing .
So many Christians believe that if they doubt , GOD will punish them or whatever .. I do not believe that . To grow in GOD's strength , we should ask questions and calm our doubts.
Excellent Questions by the way... Hope my answer helped :)

Of course I do. I've taught in Christian schools, and one of the things I used to do during chapel days was to have everyone who was Christian stand. I then asked everyone who never doubted to sit down. Very few ever did.
Faith is the certainty of things unseen. If you don't doubt that, if you don't question your faith from time to time, then your faith is the faith of a child, and it will not stand up when it's tested.
