im 18 weeks. im overweight(not a ton lol) im not sure if im showing or not. could i just be gaining weight?i cant wear my jeans anymore because theyre uncomfortable on my lower belly. how soon was itwhen everyone started to slighty show?

Everyone starts showing at different times. I've always been had a small frame and started showing with my first child before I even knew I was pregnant, lol. With this pregnancy, I'm 23 weeks and just now starting to noticeably show. Usually with women who have a little more weight on them, it MIGHT take a little longer for them to show versus smaller women...but not always. You say your pants don't fit the same, that is a sign of your expanding tummy! Just relax and enjoy the ride.

well my neighbour and i fell pregnant a week apart. Both of us are slim.She started showing at 6 weeks (no kidding!) and i only started showing at 6 months! I got so frustrated because I wanted everyone to know I was pregnant! I think it's all got to do with muscle tone tho. My stomach muscles are naturally firm, hers aren't. Both of our babies were good weights at birth. I think that it's pretty safe to say that if your jeans are getting tight around the base of your tummy that it's the lil one saying "give me room mom!" Time to buy the maternity wardrobe ! Good luck and enjoy every second!!!

i started to show about after my first trimester.. i dont remember exactly when..but everyones body is different..some show earlier then others..some might not show at all depending on your weight...everyones skin stretches differently... but they sell these amazing things at the pregnancy stores...its called the "belly band" and what it is..its like a tube top deal that you put over your pants soo you dont have to close them or zip them up....!! soo you wouldnt have to buy maternity pants that fast!! b/c pregnant clothing is SOOOOOOO expensive!

Oh yeah the baby is starting to take up room in there.I would say to get some maternity clothes.Soon you will feel your baby kick and be able to find out the sex(20wks)Congrats!!!

I started to show very early but i am very tiny... since your over weight, it will probably be much later before you start showing... like 5-6 months... but everyone is different...

timing is different for everyone however it sounds to me like u need to get urself some maternity clothes. Congrats and Good luck.

when i was pregnant i was very skinny, so i started to show after the 1st tri.(slightly), but i think that my problem was with my breasts...they got soooo huge and the belly only got really big after the 6-7th month.
