Bio-fuels pollute far less than fossil fuels.

Just think how much would change on the world stage, the possibilities are endless, from allowing third world countries to produce Bio-fuel crops to the reduced strain on oil resources.

In time all aviation could be run from a derivative of these fuels, at the moment there still prone to freezing which as you'd agree isn't so good for the planes or the passengers.

Yes, but at this Point in Time there are several Problems. In Order to Produce Bio-Diesel Fuel, as well as Ethanol, Energy must be Expended to Plant, Harvest, Transport, Refine, and Deliver the Finished Product. So much Energy is expended from Start to Finish, much of it from Petroleum, that the End Result is not a Viable Option for Reducing Consumption of Petroleum. What has much more Potential would be to Utilize existing Sources of Energy more efficiently. How ? Well, for One thing, Vaporizing Gasoline. My Avatar is a Photo of a Device I have Constructed, doing just that, Lit on Fire to Prove it really Works, with 100 Parts of Air to 1 Part of Fuel. This has the Potential to safely enable even the Largest SUV to get 50 + MPG, and Emit 10 X less Pollution. And it's illegal on any Vehicle in the USA from ' 96 to the Present thanks to the EPA-OBD II Law that Al Gore helped to Pass into Law during the Clinton Administration ! I'm not the First to figure this out. Far from it ! Go to http://energy21.freeservers.com/bookrep.html and, for an even better Photo, go to My "360", then Read the Blog. The Truth is out there !

ANY new fuel, if owned and sold by the same creeps that dominate the oil industry now, will NOT solve any global fuel situation, except to rely less upon what are erroneously termed "fossil" fuels. (Crude oil and its byproducts). Even hydrogen, a very sensible fuel, would be marketed exactly like today's oil and gasoline; price manipulated under the pretense of supply and demand, to gouge you, the consumer and separate you from more and more of your hard-earned $$.
