The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn
I Love You All Day Long by Francesca Rusackas

I already answered but I couldn't resist adding this one...

The Monster at the End of this Book by Jon Stone. It's a little golden book. I remember my mom reading this one to my little brother and him laughing till there were tears in his eyes.

I can't seem to stop adding books!! I love to read can you tell? This is the last one I swear. The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. I read this one to my class at preschool till the pages fell out.

My sons favorite books are:
Stanley Goes Fishing and Stanley Goes for a Drive by Craig Frazier
The Dirty Cowboy by Amy Timberlake and Adam Rex
We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury
The Egg by M.P. Robertson
anything by Mo Willems

my son is 3 1/2 but I would abbreviate most of these stories for him at 1 1/2. As he got older, I would read more and more of the details.

Margeret Wise-Brown has a great book called Goodnight Moon
A personal favorite of my sons is Brown Bear Brown Bear What do you See? by Bill Martin Jr.
Also anything by Dr. Suess is great on building language skills, because all of the silly words. And Eric Carle books have some of the most beautiful illustrations :)

The best books I think are the counting to ten books (which they make for every occasion). The one I love the most is called "Ten Little Ladybugs" by Melanie Gerth. It's written in a short poem form and each page, you lose a ladybug somehow - they all reunite in the end. Both my boys LOVED this book.

Melanie Gerth also makes other ones for all occasions, like "Good Night, Sweet Butterflies", "Five Little Ducklings", "Ten Little Eggs", "Ten Little Ladybugs". All are hardbound board books, interactive and loads of fun!!!

I hope this helps and good luck to you!
