A few drops of pure tea tree oil.
A few drops of eucalyptus oil.
A teaspoon of mineral oil.
Mix it and apply on head.
The tea tree and eucalyptus repels the lice and the mineral oil is added so it doesn't sting.
If there's someone in the family has lice, make sure the whole family have this treatment.

I've heard of slathering the hair and scalp in mayonnaise overnight. I would think you should put a shower cap or something on over it. Then, in the morning, comb through the hair with the special lice-egg-removing comb. (Not sure if any old fine toothed comb will work; I don't think so.)

1- Tea tree oil- comb through hair with a lice comb. Also can buy shampoo and condioner (I use on my kids when I get that lice notice that its in their class- hopefully to get the eggs right off the bat).
2-Cetaphil cream- leave on hair for a few hours, blow dry, wash out.

Dawn dish soap. As odd as it sounds, I use it to bathe my dog, because it kills fleas and other parasites dead as a doornail. Give it a try, if it doesn't work with killing the lice and their eggs, you're out 78 cents. Bear in mind, you also need to treat the environtment, or they'll just hop back on.
