Personally the admiration I have for them is overshadowed by an overwhelming sadness. They should not be there, and the idiots and ******* who put them there have absolutely no idea how to get them out. We pretend we're in a just war. Please. In WW2 every single American made sacrifices - young men went to war, young women went to factories, and every single man, woman, and child rationed and sacrificed and gave of themselves for a cause. But the young men gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Nowadays the young men and women going over to fight are still losing limbs and sight and hearing and their lives, but what sacrifices do the rest of us make? We still see movies, we still eat steak and lobster, nothing, absolutely nothing has changed for us at home. Except for about 10 minutes around 6, we could care less about the "war". There's no great cause, no underlying principle, and really, no one except the soldier's families seems to give a crap. It's not really our fault - there's no crap to give. It's a false war. A made up, illogical, completely irrelavent war, fed to us by morons who thought they were smarter than the rest of us. They were wrong.
I admire those men and women for facing dangers and horrors I can't imagine because they believed they were serving their country. It tears me apart to think about how useless it all is, how callous our leaders were in sending them into harm's way, and how little anyone cares.
Thanks a lot, George Motherf*cker Bush.

We lost all respect around the globe when we went to Iraq for no good reason and took the focus off Osama bin Ladin. At first it was WMDs...which turned out to be BS. Then it was a link between Iraq and Al Queda and 9/11...also BS. Then George came up with all these other reasons why we are at war but it didn't matter by then. You can't take a country to war and then change your reason for going to war! This war is wrong and I doubt history will remember a worse president.
I do respect our soldiers to an extent because they stand for something honorable, but how can I support the troops when I am completely against everything they are doing over there? I say if you support the troops, you vote to bring them home TODAY! Not in 2008 or 09, TODAY!
Shame on the American people for allowing this president to start a war based on faulty intelligence and LIES! And where is Osama? Shame on the Americans for not demanding they find an answer behind 9/11.
We are all so lost right now.

Yes, very much so. When they are trying to help people in other countries to be able to enjoy the rights that we have in the United States. Unfortunately, their help is not always recognized or successful. When you try to help others, it is not always appreciated either. These boys don't go to war just to hurt others or put themselves in harms way. They believe that the are doing a service to the United States and the world. You can't blame the servicemen when something goes wrong. Blame the leaders that have improperly assessed the situation.
To the Americans: If you don't like what is going on, get out there and vote!!!

I feel for the soldiers who fight for us, defend us and dedicate their lives for us. On the other hand, I cannot understand the politicians who run away from doing these SAME duties and are busy making funny policies harming our image in the world. All this while our soldiers live the life of "see nothing hear nothing" - disconnected from the world themselves.
