Yes. I have been in a realationship for the past five years. Marriage is something that we both want, just not right now. But when one of my friends, or a family member gets engaged or married I can't help but get jealous. For some reason I feel that I should be the one to get engaged first. Either I've been in a relationship longer, or I'm older, or something like that. I feel like I earned it and they didn't.

It doesn't really matter though. I eventually get over it and I'm happy for them. And your friends probably will too.

Honestly, I do. I've been with my boyfriend for 2 and 1/2 years now and I get jealous when I see everyone else with their engagements rings and I really want to be engaged too. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them but me and my bf have talked about marriage a lot and I just wish we could just get engaged already so we could start our life together. I think a lot of people feel this way so I'm not alone.

No.
Am at uni, the youngest in my class so most of my classmates and either engaged or married, but I just enjoy their parties and love being their "somebody" during the ceremonies. Once I asked why not me and I felt so guilty inside coz then I was being selfish and not a good friend.

I'm already married and have been since I was 19 so when my freinds get engaged I'm happy for them. I cant comment on why your friends were like that considering I wasnt there. personally I think engagement parties are a little unnecessary so maybe they felt thats way too. its like having a party to show off your ring and brag about being engaged. maybe some of your friends felt that way too or maybe they are just being rude.

Not jealous just wish that my bf wasn't scared to commit, maybe you should tell them that you were disappointed with the way that they acted at your engagement party, but really you should have just been enjoying yourself and having fun. If they are jealous then that is their problem and all you can do is make sure that you are happy. Congrats : )

At the moment I have 3-5 friends getting married. I, being single and out of a relationship for close to a year now, am quiet jealous of their happiness. I am not mad jealous but I am very envious of their success of their relationships.

I will admit I do. Not only engaged but married with kids.
I'm only twenty and all but ONE friend of mine has kids and is/was married.
I do not know what it is but I think I need to be successful in the domestics area more than they should.
Silly.
