My period is 3 weeks late but I have taken two pregnancy tests, both say negative. My youngest child is three months old, can this be due to my period still being irregular postpartum?

If you breastfeed, it can affect your period ...
So can the change of hormones in your postpartum state.
Additionally, stress of having a new born can affect you as well.
If you are really concerned, see your GYN or PCP for a definitive answer, but HPT are reasonably accurate if you follow the directions to the letter.

Yes, you can still be pregnant even with a negitive pregnancy test. What I would suggest is go talk to your doctor. It may be just that your periods are still irregular, then again, you might be pregnant. Only your doctor can tell you for sure. S/he will probably do a urine test as well as may have blood work done to tell for certain.

Yes, those Home tests are not as reliable as a doctors visit. Just wait a week or two more then go to the health dept. Being just having a child your body is not back in a routine yet. WOW, 3 months, that happened to my friend, she was so mad!!!!!

well for starters I'd like to say you sound like your alittle depressed just give it alittle time and if it still dosn't come that I'd take another just to be one the save side and agian good luck
