Religion--like cockroaches--unfortunately will never die--they just change their Gods from time to time--hopefully the Abrahamic cults will soon fragment that much --& be exposed by science--that they will burn themselves out--like many past religions--we can only hope that the next God won't be so genocidal !!

It is rising in some areas (like Africa, Eastern Europe) but on the decline in other areas (Western Europe). However, the religious will prevail by default. Take Western Europe for example. The secular segment of society consists of families that are very small (1 child, perhaps 2 tops). Contrast this with religious families who may have 6 or 7 kids. Since kids take on the beliefs of their parents upwards of 80% of the time, the secularists will die out. Europe will be dominated by practicing Muslims in the coming decades.

In Europe on the decline, In Asia and N. Africa, on the rise. It really means it's on the rise in Europe too, since the religious fanatics from Asia and N. Africa are coming after Europe, and nobody can seem to stop them.
