The computer goes into safe mode and tells me to restart but I cannot shut down or restart. I don't know where to find the video driver to reinstall or update. Help.

go onto safe mode with Access to network
Start-Program- on top.. Windows Update.
do Custom
when its done, go to Hardware, see if any video driver is there... update if yes..
if not, its something wrong and u need to get it fixed try Geek Squad

See whether your video card have a loose connection. First re-install your video drives. If still you face the same problem then reinstall your windows.

You need to update her, if your computer has an Intel go to http://www.intel.com/
If ATI http://ati.amd.com/
If nVidia http://www.nvidia.com/
Go to downloads on all the site and you should work your way to the video driver download page.
-To find out your video driver just right click your desktop and go to properties, then to settings, it should be listed along with your monitor under Display:

see if you can do the "let windows search online" command....if not then you need to find out the manufacturer of the card. They'll have drivers available for download off their website
