Absolutely! We have had a Shih-tzu for 12 years, and she snores so loudly, I used to wear ear plugs at night to drown the sound out. Some Shih-tzu's snore more than others because of the design of their nasal passages. In some severe cases, they do have trouble breathing, but normally they snore alot. If you are concerned, just ask your vet...but chances are it's just normal snoring, like ours.

I used to breed shih Tzus. They have very flat noses so they do snore.
Next time you see the vet talk to him about it.

I also own a shih tzu.....2 of them. It's nothing to worry about, they do that sometimes depending on the way they sleep. i was worried at first to, so i asked the vet and they said that its the way they sleep and its natural.
