manners is a way of showing respect. It just so happens that higher class people have more manners than lower class in general because they show respect most of the time.

Good manners are a matter of how a person is raised and the behavior standards that people held at the child environment. Good values, courtesy, respect, consideration among others. Courtesy shows respect. Good manners help in life, and it is NOT necessarily about high class or wealth, I know poor people whose modals and sense of decency speak high for them.

Yes I think it is a matter of class. That doesn't mean that a poverty stricken family cannot have nice manners. It's all just about how you treat people. I've met someone before, who was raised on welfare, and became a young mother and lived on welfare. But her manners made her seem like she was upper white collar class. But then I've met snotty rude people who were well off financially, but they acted like they were jerks.

manners have nothing to do with class. I think that manners are something that are instilled(or not) from a young age and that some people are just rude no matter what their class is.

Class does NOT equal wealth. Class is conducting yourself appropriately to situation you are in. People with class teach their children manners, and strive to have good manners themselves.

Nope. Manners is something EVERYONE should be taught from the time they're kids. Class shouldn't matter.

No. Manners are something our parents teach us. We really can't learn them anywhere else very easily because when we are young, our parents show us how to act and react to different situations.
