This girl was really popular and she had just had her birthday. There's tonnes of rumors going around the school like her cousin was here and telling her to and that her cousin was there thinking that she was joking then she started screaming at her to stop and that she hung herself in her room or from a tree or in a friends bathroom and so on. Only two thing are clear...she hung herself and shes not around anymore.

One other realy big rumor is that 3 people were teasing her and telling her to kill herself what would happen to them if it was true?

it is a part of human nature that whenever a tragedy occurs people want to feel they know some 'inside' information about the tragedy so rumours will circulate about any tragedy.
why a young girl would hang herself is a mystery to everyone. it is a tragedy. it is very sad for everyone who knew her or knew of her but more so for those who loved and cared for her. don't be a part of the rumour mill. just accept it is a tragedy and that lots of people have been hurt by it.
if people were teasing her then she is not as popular as you think she was. if others told her to kill herself then they will have to live their whole life knowing they played a part in this young girls tragic death.

That is so sad and it has obviously touched you deeply. Nobody ever really knows why. There was a young fellow in our units, who used to come and visit for a cuppa, seemed quite content, next thing, three weeks ago, he jumped of the breakwall and drowned, my question was why? Perhaps if he had opened up or I had listened harder he would still be alive, but you see we just don't know what is going on in other peoples heads

I've heard news recently that some teens are trying this type of thing, not to commit suicide, but to get a brief "high" from cutting off the oxygen to the brain. And sometimes they do it by hanging and they do it on a dare, etc. But I can't remember where I heard that. It's crazy, I know. Her family is in my prayers. It is very tragic.

Rumors are not worth listening to... they are not based on fact and are often based on ignorance. They may never know why but you can be assured that the death will be investigated. Sorry.

just because someone is popular does not mean they are happy inside. the investigators will find out the truth. i feel for the family and their loss. god bless them. so sad.

too many stories variations. check the facts before you believe stuff. Did you call the parents to express sympathy?? they will know
