More specifically, do you get a certain drunk from tequila, rum, gin, beer, and wine?

There is to a degree, but the effect of the alcohol means most people will not consciously perceive it.
Scientifically there is no evidence to support it but it could have something to do with the different tastes and smells of certain beverages as these senses are very closely linked to memory. And memories, even sub-conscious, will have a profound effect on the thoughts and feelings of the intoxicated mind. This of course can also be attributed to the chasers and mixers which accompany the alcohol, but it is the alcohol which exaggerates it.
For example I feel mellow, yet energetic, kind of open to anything yet confident to stand and watch instead of being involved off 8 beers.
But 8 shots of Jim Bean will have me energetic and wanting to do something, not just talk, and when talking I will generally be more dynamic when I speak.
Whereas Scotch will have me mellow, even more so then beer, thinking about what I say before I say it.
Tequila and Vodka will give one an aura of lets just party.
Wine makes one romantic and artistic.
I think of it as the alcohol's character.

I would say definitely. When I drink champagne I feel very happy and giggly (but gives a wicked hangover because of the bubbles), whereas when I drink wine I feel more energetic and extroverted. Beer makes me a bit down after a while, as does hard liquor with the exception of pastis (such as Ricard) and ouzo. Pastis is a great buzz, happy, consistent and mellow and ouzo is great for digesting a big dinner before a night out on the town.

And, of course, mixing any of the above leads to the spins. :)

Yes, because they are all made form different things and have different properties. The different ingredients process differently in every person, and that can result in different "feelings" or "attitudes" when drinking. Wine makes me calm and talkative, beer makes me slightly more aggressive, tequila makes me feel quiet and vodka makes me feel like I want to party. Unfortunately, the hangover is different too. Usually, the alcohol with the most suger content provides me with the worst hangover.

most of the time the difference is the strength of the spirits by volume.
people tend to handle beer and other weaker beverages better than the "hard stuff". people who drink too large a quantity and can't handle it are usually soooooooooo volatile.

there are more subtle differences throughout the alcohol world. champagne is said to make one swoon. wine tasters can tell you where the wine was born and other features about it.

oh, if you aren't fussy what you drink then you are a candidate to find out which types of alcohol beverages don't and shouldn't be mixed.

Some say the mescal tequilla offer bright, little peripheral color flashes. Makes sense. Gin, it's all in the morning after as it is made from twig bark, you're getting the added benefit of traces of wood alchohol in the mixture. But, in the final analysis, you're getting intoxicated any alchohol because you exceed your liver's ability to metabolize the chemical that is in those beverages.

No, it's the alcohol alone that gets you drunk. You just get drunk faster on the stronger stuff.

no, i feel that it is the same.
it depend on how fast you consume the alcohol.
or how you consume, example straight, on the rocks.
i get drunk very fast on alcohol with softdrinks, because it is easy to drink.

Only subjectively - some people experience a difference, some do not.

Bordeaux is naught, and beaujolais is unpredictable - sometimes angry, sometimes giggly. Gin is pensive and dry. Brandy rather sad.
I think its different for everyone.
