what are the possible toxic substances would be produced when we react methyl salicyalte and ethanol? are there any restrictions in the quantity in the formulation when using both of these compounds?

Perfectly safe. Methyl salicylate is oil of wintergreen. Ethanol is just concentrated booze. Mixing the two will not cause a reaction unless there is a strong base present (sodium hydroxide, for example). A strong base will release methanol.

Both are irritants. Ethyl alcohol sterilises the local area of skin. Alcohol sponging is better than water sponging during high fevers as alcohol evaporates rapidly and reduces fever faster.Alcohol applied to certain areas like genitals specially in children is painful.
Methyl salicylate is used in almost all pain balms.
