I'm trying to get into the drift scene since drifting to me is a art as well as a race. I would like information on classes, tracks, track requirements, car specs, and equipment. If anyone can help me please do so i can continue to better my self as a driver. Thank you!

While I think you can consider drifting an art, I am not sure you can call it a race (since racing would tend to involve finding the fastest way around a corner, not the most stylish).

The traditional starting points for most motorsport (Autocross and/or go-karts) would still serve as a starting point for learning the basics of car control and balance. And you can probably find good reference along these points from other drivers about how to set up a car for excessive oversteer... though you would probably get better specific advice by talking to the drivers at a drifting event (look one up, head out, get there early and stay late and seek out the drivers).

Look dude. To be totally honest with you. Every class, every track, every track requirement is different. And this determines what you need from your car specs and equipment. I do drift at this point in time and the fact is the best thing you can do is keep an open mind. Socrates said the most important thing he knew was that he knew nothing ( or something along those lines). Every course is different. Start with the simple things and develope with experience. I had substantial racing experience in go carts and open wheelers before I began drift so it was easier for me to adapt. but here is some help. Go on limewire or something similar and download a video called drift bible. It is by a guy called Kyichi Tsuchia ( close enough spelling ) and will give you explinations of your basics. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
