No you won't die from it, but it does give you flu like symptoms, body aches and fever, and the herpes simplex blisters in the genital area, around the anus, and if bad enough even the buttocks and thighs, and can be spread to the mouth, that are painful. You will have herpes the rest of your life, unless they develop a cure, and you will have periodic breakouts caused from stress. You can pass it to other sex partners if you do not practice safe sex. Even when you do not have symptoms, you can infect the other partner. There is a drug, Valtrex, to take to keep from infecting your partner. Herpes does lower your immunity.

Chicken pox, shingles, and cold sores are another type of herpes, herpes zoster.

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 5 years back, when I was still attending college and had a dumb one-night stand. I realize loads of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/PiwKA everything improved.

Not only was I able to eradicate all remnants of the herpes simplex virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This program provided the chance to be happy and experience real love again. Now I hope that I can help others too by sharing this story.

no you cant die but it can make you sickThe first time you get herpes, you get painful sores or blisters at the site of infection - usually either on the mouth, penis, vagina, or anus (butt). For a while you may also feel tired or sick, and get headaches or a fever. In women, sores or blisters may occur inside the vagina where they can't be easily seen. Men and women can be infected with Herpes and not know it. Herpes outbreaks are usually separated by weeks or months with no visible signs or symptoms.

Apparently there are only two forms of herpes which can be deadly, but they are VERY rare, and most forms of herpes respond well to anti-viral treatment.
They are:
Herpetic encephalitis (inflammation of the brain tissue)
and
Neonatal HSV (infection of newborns)

Whatever form of herpes you have, you need to see a doctor to ensure that you get the right treatment. Anything left untreated has the potential to more serious.

Hope this helps.

They are not sure because herpes is somehow connected to some other diseases of the nervous system like shingles, chicken pox and some other problems.

If left untreated, it can turn quite serious. So, yes I would imagine so. There are many treatment options to keep it under control.
