It would be a good decision to buy a Nokia, only Nokia has a good resale (or exchange) value in India. Sony is also a good product, but unfortunately has a very low resale value here.

Have a look at the Nokia site at http://www.nokia.com/ to understand the features that you desire, and cross check the same with the indicative prices of these (this is updated at least once a month) from http://www.india-cellular.com/handset-pr.... These prices may be 5% to 10% more than your local dealer, but are still more reliaable than online shopping sites like ebay.in, rediff shopping, sify shopping, indiatimes shopping etc.

I wanted to buy a 3230 but then later i brought a N 70 . I like my N 70 more .But I think 3230 is a better mobile comparing 5200

the 3230 is better because the 3230 has a 1.3mp camera while the 5200 has a 0.3mp camera.the screen of the 3230 bigger than the 5200. the 3230 is cheaper because it came out later than the 5200.

The battery life of Nokia is definitely better but all its handsets HANG at times and exchanges messages with a long delay.
