By best I mean best for the dog not best value for money.

Please only answer if you are in the UK.

I agree arden grange.Top ingriediants. The science plan stuff is pushed by vets as they get commission for it.Something to think about a friend of mine is vet and would not use it.He uses pro plan(good also)but his pratice pushes science plan.James wellbeloved is right up there to.

Royal canin
It does a wide range of different complete dry foods, from age specific to breed specific. They even do breed specific for cats.
The food dose not contain maze etc which allot of well know dog foods contain as fillers, which a dog would not naturally eat. Lots more info on the link below:

The best I have found is James Wellbeloved - it has been wondeful for my Akita's skin and coat. They do several flavours - Turkey & Rice, Lamb & Rice, Duck & Rice and Ocean Fish & Rice - I haven't found a better one. It's slightly more expensive than some but it's worth it - and you don't need to feed as much as some of the other dry foods because its concentrated.

Best of luck!

I was talking to a dog nutritionist yesterday & she said Arden Grange was the best food.It contains chicken that is fit for humans .Other dog foods contain chicken.beaks, feet, feathers,& all the crap like that. You need food that is 100% natural with no additives what so ever. Not many of them on the market.Bakers contains 22 colourants to make it look appealing to us.I don't think dogs care what colour food is!

Burns dog food is definitely the best natural, dry food. Check their website out for info!

My vet told me that Bakers is not a high quality or well balanced dry food and that I should buy some expensive biscuits called 'Science Plan'. My dog won't eat the expensive stuff so I mix them with Pal biscuits to disguise them. I find that adding a little margarine and hot water makes them more appealing to fussy dogs.

frolic, bakers and other cheap stuff have addictive qualities in the food to make the dogs eat more. i feed my dog on James Wellbeloved and a dog tainer i know (who at the moment is at crufts with her dogs) feeds her girls on Royal cannie (i think thats how its spelt lol)

Hills science plan natures best,it contains no unnecessary fillers, free from wheat, soya, dairy products,no artificial colourants, preservatives or flavourings.my vet recommended this for my 2 cats(Siamese girls)as it is better for them,so then my mum chose also to try the same brand for our dog(samoyed boy),and he likes it,so that is the dryed food I wood recommend it may cost more but it's the best you'll find that's as close to natural food you can get.you can buy it from petsathome.com,or hillspet.com,or try your vet.
