I have a problem with wmp not play any media files after I updated windows, it shows a window error with this error (cant find source of files or media, need permission from admin w/e it said. I can see the music playing but no sound. All my other vista sound fx works. This started to occur after 2 windows update I didn't know, I couldn't see the system info in system properties in control panel like cpu and ram. I went into system information and said Windows Management Instrumentation is corrupted or missing. Currently using vista ultimate retail.
Can anyone help me fix this problem??

Try re-installing WMP from Microsoft's website. If that doesn't work, try downloading a new program, such as VLC (www.videolan.org). VLC player has a long-list of formats it's able to play and I'm pretty sure it's compatible with Vista.
