Why don't the christians have a sense of humor? Every time I make a joke I get thumbs down ratings!?

I can't put the joke in the "jokes and riddles" section because I am responding to a question in this section.
I am just answering questions in a humorous way.

This isn't the Jokes and Riddles section; this is Religion and Spirituality. For many people, their religious beliefs are the most important thing in their life, and as such, are taken quite seriously. To such people, cracking jokes about religion will not be well-received, to put it mildly. If you want to tell jokes, YA has a special section for that.

WHO CARES if some people don't have a sense of humor.

OH YEA I almost forgot Yahoo Answers REQUIRES that I give some kind of answer so my answer is "YES".

Some people are so stubbornly stuck in their ways that it's just plain sick (in my opinion). Personally I don't think any GOD ever intended for anyone to be sheep following the Bible or any other man made document.

Life is about being alive. It's not about suffering on a self-made imaginary cross. "Oh your jokes have caused me great suffering". I'm sure Jesus would find that very insulting.

As far as fanatics getting angry at your jokes: it's because they do NOT have confidence in their faith. That's why they get mad. If they were confident in their faith then they would have no problem with your jokes. But since they are insecure about their faith, they attack you to make themselves feel better. HINT: Do unto others and blah blah blah.

Personally I don't believe in GOD.

Therefore I expect that the fanactics will all give me lots of thumbs down. But as far as I'm concerned: let em. I don't care. Why should you care? They can stick their thumbs down up my..... Um well you know... Some people just have problems with reality.

We do have a sense of humor, but sometimes written jokes just aren't funny since they really need to be heard. Try putting a smiley face with your joke so we know it's a joke. Ok? : - )

Just because Christians don't laugh at every joke you tell doesn't mean they don't have a sense of humor. And God WILL NOT be mocked. It's his way of getting even.

There is a difference between ' Religious ' people and ' Christians'.
Are you telling your jokes to the the -- prim, proper and self- rightous crowd -- or to the ones full of the love and joy of Jesus?

I've noticed that there have been a lot of people who don't understand humor and sarcasm here, especially tonight. Maybe they are afraid to laugh at themselves and each other.

everything seems to be a sensitive topic in this day and age so whenever u joke about something ur always going to get different oppinions on what is or isn't funny.

well, u see, it depends..if someone tells u that u've a funny nose, u probably wont find it as funny as the others..u might even find it a bit offensive..so, i guess what's funny for one person might not be for the other..moreover, sometime people just don't get it, or take it literally which could make it worse.
