Where can I buy or adopt a young Yorkie dog in California?

I like to buy or adopt a Yorkie or a Maltese.Do you know a good breeder?

Quick way to find a breeder near you is go to the AKC (American Kennel Club) website and hunt for a breeder near you. Good luck, and I'd go with the Yorkie.

you can contact your nearest kennel club for info on responsible breeders in your area... I don't know where you are, but here's a list of clubs in california...

another option is to check http://www.petfinder.com ... people are often surprised to find young purebreds in shelters... but truth is, people often buy these dogs on whims and then have to give them up for all sorts of reasons... like when parents say they can't keep them, or the apartment complex says they can't stay... they're bought as gifts for people who end up dumping them... divorces, allergies, new babies, etc etc... and even if they don't have one right now, you could contact your local shelter to see if you can put your name on a list incase one comes in.
