Pakistan is starting to attack Islam after a man murdered a famous female politician in front of a crowd. He didn't have any remorse because he believes Allah doesn't want women to work.

Oh boy...I'm writing a paper right now on Medieval romances, and apparently, our current ideas of love and romance (the idealization and spiritualization of romantic love) owe a great deal to Islamic literature.
Of course, that's going back a thousand years...
