I had a bad sinus infection in December and since then up until I went to the doctor I hadn't been able to smell anything. My sinuses are not stopped up I can breathe just fine. I still had a small cough I could feel it in my chest. I went back to my doctor he gave me a strong antibiotic (Omnicef) to take for 3 weeks plus a decongestant. Now EVERYTHING smells the SAME. Its weird if its peanut butter or cat food it all smells the same. And everything tastes the same too. (I didn't try the cat food lol) It's hard to explain the smell and taste but it is awful. I thought it might be the medicines so I quit taking them after 2 weeks (I know you are not supposed to quit an antibiotic but I couldn't stand it anymore. Has anyone ever heard of this before? I have an appointment with an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor next week. Does anyone have any home remedies or suggestions? I'm pretty desperate.

No home remedies. Sounds like you still have the sinus infection. May need more antibiotics.

i'm a smelling freak. I somewhat savour sniffing jars of stored farts. BUTT i've got observed that when I take a lengthy whiff of my own butt gas the hairs in my nostril burn so as that I is extremely not waiting to sniff the rest for greater or less quarter-hour. Being that your prego you may have important gas matters so i might advise farting into jars and smelling them as oftentimes as you may. have confidence you is extremely not waiting to sniff something!!
