1) place the plate with the wine glass in a freezer. when it's good and cold heat one side with a blow torch

Sounds like you're trying to replicate a magic trick.

The only thing I can think of is applying vacuum to the inverted glass. You would have to have a seal around the lip so that air wouldn't leak past it. There would be a hole in the surface so you could suck the air out. If the glass can't stand the atmospheric pressure on the outside, it will implode.

But you may have to try a bunch of different kinds of glasses before you find one that will break under atmospheric pressure.

shoot it with a gun.... no but seriously extreme low to high tempetures will break the glass for sure... if the glass is cold heat it up with boiling water or a torch if possible... unless you are telekenic this is the best I have sorry
