No, federal tax payments are not deductible. However, state tax payments could be deducted on the federal return as an itemized deduction (Schedule A.)

Federal income tax isn't deductible on federal returns. Only state and local taxes can be deducted, and then only if you itemize.

simple answer--no. If you owed taxes and paid them good for you--getting any of it back is a no.
