Well, I always enjoyed reading short stories from the Bible that focus on specific moral ideas (i.e. David and goliath; cain and abel about sibling trust). You could have the kids make small shoebox collages about a particular scene or draw pictures. another option would be making holiday-themed cards to give to a local elderly residence...the kids could make a special trip to drop off the cards to the seniors who would certainly appreciate it. another idea would be singing religious songs and talking with the children about the meaning behind each song. good luck...it's nice to hear that someone is concerned about the spiritual upbringing of young people...bravo!

I teach Bible studies at a Boy's and Girl's club and while my kids are younger, they really like to play a game I do where I label one side of the room as *no* or *wrong* and the other as *yes* or *right* then I say a scenario or something doing with the lesson I just taught and they run to the side of the room that describes what I just said. Ex: "cleaning my room" the kids all run to the *yes* side of the room etc.

Or sometimes I have them color something that shows them doing something God would want them to do and then have them explain it to the class.
