You two have to recognize yourselves as Boyfriend/Girlfriend. Ask him/her. Make sure you that cleared because you can kiss, go to the movies, do whatever together and one of the two could still not consider it to be a relationship. this has happened plenty of times to my high school friends.

After you've established it with the other person. If you've gone on a few dates you are still considered "dating" -- unless you have a talk and decide to date each other exclusively.

Once you communicate with your significant other.....you should establish this title in my opinion. You could say something like "i just wanted to be on the same page as you....are we exclusive now?" If you are exclusive, you would call each other gf/bf.
