Well, toddler food for sure. I would probably use commercially prepared rice cereal for baby's first food. But as you are introducing them to solids, why not? I put my kids' food in the blender. They ate what we ate (okay, not steak!) but pureed.

My wife has been feeding all three of our kids rice from the rice-cooker from age one and up.

Absolutely - it cook it perfectly and if you add 1/2 cup more of the veggie/mushroom or other stock it makes it really soft and easy for the child to digest. Good Job!

Why not? It's a great start to introduce them to solids!
