I need a good persuasive speech topic. My professor is very picky about topics and has rejected 4 proposals. Please help!

Just about any subject that can be debated should work. You're essentially presenting one side of a debate.

- Intelligent design should be taught in science classes (or not - you pick which side you want to argue)
- Abortion should be illegal (or not)
- Our troops should withdraw from Iraq immediately (or not)
- The United States needs to intervene in Darfur (or not)
- Marijuana should be legalised (or not).

If you don't want to pick something quite so controversial, you can try persuading people to:
- Look at an American car before buying a foreign one
- See a doctor, if they haven't seen one in the past five years

I imagine one of those topics should work for you.

stem-cell research? cancer? growing obesity in the US? you could try picking a topic from a newspaper, that way it will be current and you can use quotes or facts.
