So, I am cleaning out this guy's apartment for a customary 60 day storage after an unlawful detainer was filed, and I/we find oh, 300-500 Playboy, Gallery, and other nasty filthy raunchy hard core porn magazines, many with "teen" titles, presumably scenes done with teen girls. Should I notify the authorities what this guy has? My coworker doesn't want to get involved.....

If these are commercially published US magazines, they are legal to possess everywhere in the US.

By the way, if it gets to the point where you can legally seize and sell the property, you might check the dates on those Playboys. Older ones are worth some money.

It wouldn't hurt to call and have someone check to see if it is illegal. The magazines may be legal with models who look young. It may be written somewhere in the magazine something to the effect that "all models are over the age of 18". If they are legal the police will tell you, if not they'll make the report.

Porno magazines are not illegal for adults in practicall all states. Now if you would have found pictures of him engaging in child pornography, then you could call the authorities. From what you described , the cops are liable to get mad at you for disturbing them over nothing.
