When my wife was about to pass away, i called a priest to give her the last rite.He said :God didn't give your wife cancer, that is an evolutionary imperfection. Why can the Pope and his Hirarchy not muster up that kind of common sense?

Catholicism has nothing against the theory of evolution - so long as one places God first. If one believes God used evolution to create life, that's okay.

It's wrong to think evolution just happened by accident, with no involvement of any kind by a Higher Power. This is the ideal that the Catholic Church opposes.

There is more common sense in the Church Hierarchy than you are giving it credit for,

As for your wife (my condolences for your loss) there is no way for us to know why some people suffer more than others. Just know that God never wills bad things to happen. He does, in His Way, use bad things to bring about a greater good. I don't know what that greater good is, or how or when it will present itself, but I know it's there. I hope you come to realize this as well.

US Christians prefer to visit conflict plenty. the U. S. God blesses US troops on an identical time as they bomb Iraq so as that Exxon can take over the oil refineries interior the middle east. for the time of the middle an prolonged time, Catholic christians have been greater into torture and genocide. then desperate to colonize different cultures and take over the international. i will persist with purely 1st century christian teachings. purely open your Bible. and don't belong to any human made business enterprise or church. any guy or woman who helps conflict or politics isn't an real christian. purely study the bible.

DUDE YOU HAVE IT ALL WRONG!!!

The Catholic Church TEACHES EVOLUTION, it agrees with the Big Bang theory! It is a pragmatic scienctific church.

I don't know one catholic that yould say god gives us cancer! Cancer is a horrible illness just like everyother horrible illness.

It happens. I don't know of one catholic priest that would say god gives us cancer. Ask the creationists and christian fundementalists though, they say that.

God doesn't 'give' people cancer, but sometimes He allows it, and indeed as your priest's explanation is as good as some.

What do you mean about the Pope and hierarchy? I'm lost.

I'm very sorry for the death of your dearly beloved.

God pretty well doesn't do much of anything. He answers the odd prayer, but really, he just lets things unfold and watches us like the little insects we are.
