all depends on how strong you are... if you are trying to stay away from soda in general the best way to do it is to stock on juices and bottled water or flavored water. also try not to purchase any sodas. people form habits and part of the addition to cola, is the caffeine. if you can break away from the caffeine then you wont have an issue switching from carrying a can of cola to v8 fruit juice...
good luck

I don't believe so because we are now hearing that they are adding things in drinks to make you crave them and even in diet free sodas they use the sugar substitutes which are chemicals.
So my advise drink filtered water and juices. We need to drink half our body weight in ounces of water perday. So if you weigh 120 pounds you would need to drink 60 ounces a day which would be 8 and a half glasses. When you drink that much water you will not crave the sodas, as the water will eventually stop the craving as your body is getting the liquids that it requires. We are 97% water when we are in our mothers womb and when we're born we are 80%. Then as we grow it gets less and less and middle age we are 2/3 water, and seniors are about 50% unless we drink the required amounts of water. So we MUST drink water.

particular, yet attempt to no longer have any soda with man made sweeteners (aka meals regimen sodas), additionally, slightly caffeine would not harm the toddler - so in case you experience like having a everyday coke now and lower back (no longer daily) then it particularly is okay. frequently they say a million cup of espresso is okay - in spite of the certainty which you will keep away from it in case you could. And soda with caffeine has much less then a million cup of espresso.

Caffeine has been said to be addictive, but so is sugar, believe it or not. So, you might be weaning yourself off gradually by switching from caffeinated sodas to non-caffeinated sodas, but you probably won't get over your addiction completely.

I had a severe addiction to pepsi for a long time.
I then switched to diet pop, which to me tastes horrible, and it cured my addiction. I can now have a real pepsi every once in awhile and not crave 6 cans a day.
