Snipers have to complete an extreme survival course in order to learn how to live in their extreme environments. Part of this course includes knowing how to take care of bodily functions and excretements.

The U.S. Army Survival Manual also provides basic information on how to survive in hostile or extreme terrain without leaving traces for the enemy to find.
