They are just stonned.....If they were baked they would make you drink a bottle of ketup,which would serve no purpose at all.They think the hot suace is to much for you to handle,but you have them fooled....You must not be eating that chili of yours at home,they should know better than to give you hot suace if you put the hottest EVER peppers in your chili...Poor kid,my mom always made me chili.It was good,I put cheese in it.,not peppers.I do like hot peppers tho.Ill try that next time.I don't live at home anymore so Ill have to go to wendy's and try it there.Ive never had Wendy's Chili,but I hear its good.Insted of cheese or peppers they give you saltine crackers to put in your chili.How do I know this?I lied before.I have ate chili at wendy's.They dont give you peppers but rather these saltine cracke...Wait-I already said that didn't I?Ill just have to get the chili and the go buy the peppers.I dont know where to buy good peppers.Can you tell me where you get the ones for your chili?Ill go where ever you go and get some.And then we can swap chili so we can see whos goes better with peppers.But as for the wendys chili,we will have to buy it cause the wont give us the ingredent list now will they?I dont think so.I one asked how to make a Big Mack....They wouldnt tell me.I was sad.Somtimes I think im crazy.By the end of this,I know you think so too.I like to joke around.I thought your question was funny.If for some reason you were not kidding,please seek help.This is child abuse.You can sue and get lots of money.Please send me some.And at night when you are alone and scared after you sue your parents and have all that money and live in a big house that only you live in,

Wow - I can't believe they really make you drink a bottle of hot sauce when you say a bad word. That seems extreme to me. Do they keep lots of bottles of hot sauce around? You like hot sauce tho? But do you like it a bottle at a time? If so, enjoy & bottoms up.
Personally, I think a swearing jar is more effective - pay $5 when you say a swear word. We've done that in our house & it works well for everyone (parents too). We keep a running tally of who swore & at the end of the month, the person with the least infractions gets to keep the money in the swearing jar.

I don't think that is a very efficient punishment whether you like hotsauce or not. I would have to agree with you that I think your parents are stupid on this punishment, but maybe not in general. This is just one incident and I cannot say whether they ARE stupid or not therefore I cannot answer your question as to WHY they are so stupid.

Your Parents are just trying to stop you from saying bad words. Their method of discipline my be stupid but their intentions are good if you pick up the habit of swearing its can be difficult to stop because you don't even realize you are doing it. The use of swear words can keep you from getting a good job when you are older. Swears make people sound unintelligent and crude

Okay so that is a strange punishment but unless you want to drink something worse like straight vinegar or something I would just not say anything at all. Act like it is a punishment and they will keep doing it. One of their parents probably did that to them and it was a punishment to them.

Did you know that can be considered child abuse? My FIL and his wife got investigated due to stuff like that.
And your parents are only stupid until you have your own kids. Then you'll find out they weren't so stupid.

Personally, I think that is really bizarre. Sounds like something that my father would do...sounds like a control thing. At least that's what it is in my case, but it usually transfers over.

I'd say that if you have a 12 year old son, you are probably old enough to cuss without your parents punishing you.
