how close to La are you? they used to have a few around that area. wow in the 80's there weren't many now there are alot all around southern California. here is a link to a website where you can find the ones closest to you

Well I know there is a classic car meet Every first Wednesday of the month at the NHRA Museum in Pomona. Maybe 100+ cars. VERY BEAUTIFUL!!! cars there also. Admission to the museum is also free on that day so you get to see the coolest drag racing cars of all time there. Lots of history there. The coolest part is that the guys with the really powerful cars all line up and just rev their engines. It sounds like an army. Many of the cars drive around with drag radial tires and Wheelie bars. I live across the street from the place so making the commute isn't bad either.

Californina Speedway does have on the weekends classic car racing on the Drag strip and there is also a group called VARA (Vintage Automoblie Racing Association) Call the SPeedway Drag stip and they can give you info on up coming open events foor the drag strip
