naturally i can sleep for 10-11 hrs a night but im also pregnant now. Ive heard that more studies have been done that people actually need more like 9-11 hrs of sleep a night rather than 6-8 that was thought not too long ago. Albert einstein always slept for 10 hours a night!

I personally sleep between 6-8 hours. Your age makes a difference. If you are a teen, you need more sleep than any age group 9-12 hours. The older you get, unfortunately, the less sleep you get and that is not good. Adults need to get 7-8 hours to be rested. When you get less sleep, it affects a great deal; thinking, digestion, etc. It really stresses out your body and can create some health problems too.

Well if I 'm having a good day or night....I can sleep from 10 pm to about 8am.....if I'm restless etc. I might stay up until 1am or 2am and sleep until noon....and that 's a bad thing. So far this week I'm getting some good rest. It sure makes a difference how I feel the next day if I get my needed rest. I really sleep good if I've done a good days work. If I've been sedentary and not very energetic I find I don't sleep well and toss and turn. ....wow I added too much info....oh well thought it might be helpful to someone...Sweet dreams from Mama Jazzy Geri

If I do not set an alarm, I can sleep forever!
At night, without an alarm, I sleep for 12-16 hours. I could miss a day (don't get to do this but perhaps once a year, but it is wonderful).
On a typical night, I get to sleep about 6 hours.
If I ever take a nap, they last for 3-4 hours without an alarm clock. My gift to myself is sleep.

I developed a sleeping disorder about twelve years ago..now, I never sleep more than two hours at a time....than It takes about a half an hour to forty-five before I can go back to sleep to get two more hours......this is with medication......before this... I slept like the dead..without an alarm I could easily sleep sixteen hours before ever waking up......god, I miss those days........

I just discussed this with someone in an email. I sleep no more than 4 hours every night. Its all I need to function, if I get more, I'm like a slug all day.
