like lets say if i liked someone and they were going out and they broke-up, how long would it take to be ready for a other reationship?

The first few weeks she will not talk about anything but her previous relationship and how this went wrong and how that did whatever...if you have the time and the nerves to go through it, you can start at once....a lot of women would like to dump their emotional issues when they get hurt and if you are willing to listen...oh boy oh boy.....but be careful she is NOT seeing you...she is only talking to you.....so do not be fooled by any reaction....
As for how long it will take her to get over that person, it all depends on her and on the duration of that relationship and the kind of commitment they had going...good luck to you

It depends on the person. When my girlfriend and I split, it took me a week to get over it and be back to my normal self.
If they were going out for a long time, it could take some time. If it was just a short term thing, then it won't be long.
*Tip* - it's healthier to take only a little time to get over a relationship than to dwell on it.

Its really up to you. If your mind is ready, then you are ready. If its not and you really really wants it to be, its a little complicate. But the following technique works sometimes.
Sit up right in a sunny, clean room with windows open, close your eyes and concentrate on youself. Then tell youself that you are strong, and always think positive. ( Sort like that thing in the movie last sumari, but its actually a Chinese Tai-Chi thing I think). It works not in just get over with relationships, but a lot other things.

I think that it may take a while but if you really are interested then wait and there for her, because if you jump in a relationship quick she will be comparing you to that past person. Most don't be there for her so much that she starts to see you as a good friend or a brother.

depends on how bad the break up was, and what it was over, the most its takes for me to get over an ex was about a week, at the most

thats not something anyone can answer.... we are all different at dealing with situations like that. but it wud depend on how long you were with that person and how you felt about that person. def no time limit on that kind of stuff....
