U r short....okey so wat? the others are tall but wat, without brains. It doesnt work like that dude.Don wory 4a while u might jus feel uncomfortable but its allright.its a human body and its so beautiful just the way it is.u dont need to wory bout how 2b tall etc. u said ur good at running right?U no how much it takes to reach the finish line in 12sec. M sure ur high school will b fun. b happy and make others laugh & ya in the begining of the high school dont through attitude or dont b sad for ur hight.grow by heart and the world is urs...

There are plenty of Olympic athletes that are short. Do some research and see for yourself.
Be proud of who you are as a person and don't let any obstacles stand in the way of your dreams.
Very few people are ever actually happy all the time about their body image. Short, tall, thin, fat. We are all doing the best we can with what God gave us.
My compliments.

let me just say off by saying that being short isn't that bad neither being tall. now if you want to change your heigh which is not possible but you can grow if you will hang on a tree or whatever the equipment you will be using. what it does is stretches you. just stretch your body long. grab the tree or whatever with your hands and hold and try to stretch out as much as you can. do it every day!!!! dedication can make it happen. and i believe carrots help your heigh. now remember don't be too quick to work out and grow musles because it will only make you shrink. stretches is the only way out. good luck.

I hate to tell you this but there's no way you can force yourself to grow tall, its all inherited. I can relate to you however, in my high school years, I wanted to be a football player but I could never bulk up so after my sophomore year I quit, and once I hit college I grew at a significant rate. But the point is, football just wasn't for me because my body wasn't prepared for it. By all means, size is not the only factor in succeeding in sports, so you should at least try it.

You're worried about being short and if you can play sports for the next 3 years of your life? Get over yourself. What you should be worried about is going to college or doing something useful with your time. High school will pass, you will become an adult, and your short-person complex will fade.

My husband is 5'2" and he played football. He was a fast runner too.
He is now a Professional Mechanical Engineer and has lots of people working for him.
I am 5'1, so we are a perfect match.
You will be fine! Don't worry.

Well life is what you make it...
I have a guy friend who is also about 5'1" He is 1st team all state in wrestling, has a beautiful girlfriend (who is taller then him) whom he loves, he has a 3.5 GPA and is a very happy guy. So Life is what you make of it. if you say you are going to be depressed then sure you are going to be depressed. end of story.

Ha, you said you need to be tall for basketball and thats not true. My friend Shannon is only 4'10" and she was our top scorer. Don't worry about your height and just show them what your made of.
