I found out about 6 months ago that my crazy doctor had me on 4 times the legal dosage of this drug, i was taking 120 miligrams of adderall xr DAILY. i had been taking this dosage from the start of 7th grade to right before the start of my senior year of high school, i have been working hard with my doctor, and im finally down to 30 miligrams, next week i plan on movin down to 20.

I have HORRIBLE Teeth! is there any way that this drug could have caused my bad teeth? my understanding is that adderall xr is a combination of 4 different methamfedamines (i have adhd), and meth users usually get bad teeth from it.
my doctor said he has never heard of something like that happening, but im wondering what such a high dosage would do?

please help me

watch your Blood pressure, heart, head aches, and just try to get off of that med... it is almost like rat poison... I took it for 8 years and it has hurt my body so bad now... My body could not recover from it not being in my system for 3 years... Actually I stopped taking it almost 4 years ago... Side effects for any med is possible... Sometimes you can have a side effect not listed... sometimes you can have one that is... They never told me when I began this med that there was really any... Now ALL I want to do is sleep.. This is because this med is also used to treat narcolepsy, so my body thinks that I have it....
I really wish you the best of luck... this is very hard... The worst part is you may gain weight.. so be careful not to eat to much...

Adderall did NOT cause damage to your teeth. There is no pathway for this to happen. Nor do meth users get bad teeth from these drugs, but they sure don't look after themselves, so poor oral hygiene and crappy diets are the most likely factors for their.
Consider your own diet and hygiene measures. Your dentist will be able to help you evaluate these factors.
