Unless you have secret psychic powers.......well wait then girl!! but chances are, you don't, i mean you could wait 10 years only to find out that your partner is WACK!!!! I mean sex isn't everything in a relationship..........but it is still the leading reason behind divorces.......infidelity.
Plus you enjoy being single!, I mean enjoy being single responsibly.........................ENJOY!!!

It is well worth the wait whatever age you are. I wasn't a virgin when I finally found the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Though I did lose my virginity to a guy I dearly loved with my whole heart, he was a big player and I meant nothing to him. I found the man I'm with now and we have been married for almost 18 years. We have so much love for each other that I wish I could have known he would be my soul mate and saved myself all for him. Having sex is something that gives you a physical sense of happiness that some mistake for love. Real love that lasts forever is a bonding of heart and soul and happens to be better than just sex, but the two things together are so great that mere words can't describe how great! It is a sense of total fulfillment and a merging of body, mind, and soul. It would feel most wonderful to be making love with my soul mate for the first time with us on our honeymoon 18 years ago. Then I could know now that I had given all I had to give to the wonderful man I married. Oh yeah, and the sex is great too! LOL

I think the "wait till you're married" idea was around before birth control. Used to be, if you had sex, you were bound to get preg sooner or later. Now that's changed. You can have sex and not get preg, tho there is always that risk, and you would be far better off to have a baby when married than when not.
As for the "specialness" of waiting - I'd say wait until you are in love - but I would question the value of depriving yourself of that all through your 20s. Sex is normal and wonderful. Having a loving partner is the key.

I have no clue if its worth it. I'm 21 and still a virgin. Might as well wait as it says in the bible. 1. no clue why it would make it special.
2. If you want to wait till youre 30 thats fine. If youre in a current relationship your partner might not want to wait that long but im pretty sure you will find someone when youre 30.

Your body is your sanctuary. To save yourself for your spouse is the ultimate and greatest gift you can give to them. Even though you have yet to meet your spouse you can still honor them by saving yourself. Todays society shows sex as an extra curricular activity. Every time you have sex out of marriage you give part of yourself away. It affects your self esteem, and slowly strips you down to just a object that people use to satisfy their urges. You are worth the wait. Sex is also not a great experience unless it is with someone you love, trust, respect and they feel the same towards you. Please wait. I did not, I regret it, and many that I talk to feel the same. My husband left me for a virgin because he was upset that I had been sexually active before him. The only reason for sex should be to show love to the person you are committed to. Good luck.

Elisabeth, our current, mostly Hebraic religions place undue pressure on us regarding sex, banning it before marriage. I think this is un-natural, and the behaviour of most people shows this. Having your first sexual encounter after marriage can be mind-blowing, or it can be a disaster. Especially if you're both inexperienced. At your age, you are capable of protecting yourself from pregnancy, and should be aware of most of the pitfalls, so why not try sex? Be careful how you chose your first partner, and pick someone mature and experienced. Going into a marriage with at least some knowledge of the sexual act can make it so much easier for you both, even if it's not the same man.

Elisabet, sex is something mother nature put in our milk so we would make babies. The purpose for the tremendous drive to couple is to ensure the survival of the human race. Today the survival of the race is pretty well assured, barring an atomic catastrophe or a meteor impact. So sex has become something that has a recreational value as well as a biological value. Waiting is your option. Personally I don't think it matters to mother nature, to god, to allah, buddha or any other god you wish to name if you are a virgin when you are married. If you want to be a virgin, go for it. If you have an opportunity that is pretty important to you, go for it. Your choice. No real moral or sociological implications either way.

I think that you should continue waiting, you've waited this long, and when you do it you want to make sure that it is right, and is done the right way (Until Marriage) If a guy Loves you that Much he will wait without Regret!!

You might be pressure to having sex prior to your marriage. But let me ask you this, after sex do you still a virgin? Remember, there is only one first time. Most people I know and study about, regret having sex before marriage.

before thats what i thought. I thought i could wait till im old enough and mature enough to have sex but it didnt happen that way i lost mine when i was 15 and i know its too young but i dont regret anything because I mean the way i look at it its depends on what makes you happy...if you wanna waiti till youre marriage then do so. but having sex is just a way of expressing your love, well at least to some people.
