Grey Goose. No wonder it's number one. Smoother than smooth itself. It is great on the rocks. Great in a dry Martini too (Gin/Vodka/Dry Vermouth/Lemon Twist).
Oh, and it always works well in a White Russian (2 Parts Vodka, 1 Part Kahlua, Fill with Cream).

The better vodkas are distilled more times thereby lowering the amount of impurities. It is also further argued that lower impurities = lower hangover so if you are willing to spend extra money it may be worth it! Just because something has a catchier advertising campaign doesn't mean its the best vodka. My least favorite (aside from rail quality vodkas) is Absolut. If you are looking for good flavored vodkas try the Hanger One brand. It uses fresh fruit in its distillations and not artificial flavoring. Also the Three Olives brand isn't too bad. And if you like energy drink mixes with vodka, there's a newer Pink Vodka that is spreading throughout -- its an energy infused vodka that is distilled 5 times. No flavor of energy drink in it just clear vodka.

Well I would love to try Grey Goose as I've heard it's the best but it's $85 ($65 USD) a bottle in Australia. So seeing as I can't afford that I recommend 42 Below from New Zealand - it is the smoothest vodka I've ever tasted. Might be a bit hard to find though depending which part of the world you're from, but if you ever come across it try it!
Oh - and if you must mix it - just soda and a slice of lime - so refreshing!

Vodka is a ripoff folks.
It is a flavorless liquor that takes no time to manufacture.
Filter it a few times and bottle it.....then charge the same or more than spirits that have sat in barrels for 5,10, 15 or more years.
On the hand, Bourbons, scotches, cognacs and other spirits take years to distill, age and bottle.
If you must drink vodka I suggest Smirnoff. Quality and no hype value.

Tried the gator aid thing. Didn't like it at all. My favorite vodka drink is a white russian with vodka , kahlua and milk.
Second best is cosmopolitan, vodka, triple sec. Cranberry juice and lime.

M.B was right with the Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka, but I like it in coke best. Tastes like a vanilla coke, and can hardly taste the vodka!!

Level One. Hand down it is the best tasting and for some reason doesn't give you as bad of a hangover as Aristocrat or Absolut. I like mine with Tonic and Lime. Yummy!

Grey goose because it is smooth. Mix with OJ, sprite or kool aid.
